Andorra
Andorra is one of the worlds smallest countries, covering only about 175 square miles. It is a tiny princedom situated between Spain and France, and it includes some of the worlds best skiing: the Pyrennes (the mountain range that seperates Spain and France).
Andorra la Vella
Andorra la Vella is the capital city of this tiny country. Its official language is Catalan, a language unique to the area, but everyone speaks either French or Spanish. It has a dual culture, between French and Spanish, and pays a tribute each year to one of the countries, switching each year. This policy was established in 1278, and is the only major tie to either country. Supposedly, the Andorran government has a mysterious document under lock and key from Charlemagne giving the Andorrans their independence. However, noone has ever seen it.
